Here's my Spring-themed floral Birthday Card based on Sketch 127. Papers are Prima's Sparkling Spring 6x6 pad.

Thanks to CardPatterns for the inspiration!

Flowers are a combination of Prima and Kaisercraft.

The pink doily ribbon tape is from BG, beige lace trim from Daiso. Stamps are Penny Black.

Sketchy Thursday 8.4 Sketch: New Toy!

Here's my first participation on Sketchy Thursday. I'm scrapping some pictures of my boy on his new walker. These were taken back in May when he was about 8 months old.

Here's my layout:

Look how happy he is with the new walker! I'm using mainly Studio Calico's June Paper Moon Kit.

The inspirational sketch.
Finally got to make use of this hand-stitched tag which came with the SC kit. Was saving it like forever.

I got myself a new stash of buttons... comes in handy for those fun boyish layouts where I can't go crazy with butterflies and flowers.

The journaling didn't quite come out quite right due to the over-enthusuastic orange paint! Anyway it says: "ENJOY yourself and have FUN on this lovely DAY on your brand new walker!" Metal plates are American Craft's Elements.
Thanks for visiting My Scrapspiration! Do leave a comment so I can hop over to your blog too :)

Have a lovely week ahead!

Get Picky July #10: Love Wish Dream

Hi again! I'm back with yet another challenge; this is my first submission to Get Picky and here is the inspiration:

Quoting the blogpost: "This month we have chosen this gorgeous butterfly image to inspire you.  You are free to interpret it in any way you choose..... butterfly papers, embellishments, stamps, the colours.....the sky's the limit as long as you create a multi-photo layout."

So here's my interprretation using 2 photos:

Scrapping some of pre-wedding portraits taken back in 2007. The background is actually a plain rosy off-white cardstock misted with a giant Prima Mask.

Here are the butterflies, in line with the challenge requirement. I have Yuz to thanks for the idea to layer the Monarch butterflies. That girl is just bursting with ideas! The top layer is velum. B'fly stamped images are Martha Stewart.
Love Wish Dream... to capture that whimsical romance of our pre-wedding photos.  Liking the feathers??? They are colored turkey feathers from Art Friend at Gardens Mall. The round butterfly charm is Bo Bunny Gabrielle, it was actually a brad but I removed the braddy part so I can affix it to the ribbon. Title Stamp is Tim Holtz.

The doiley paper is from Basic Grey. Metal charm is MM.

Flowers are a combination of Prima and Kaisercraft.

Here's a close up of the 2 photos; one in B&W and one in color.
Sigh ... my old pre-wedding photos gets me all nostalgic about the sweet young days  (only 4 years ago but feels like AGES!) ... and sadly, I know there's no way I can fit into that cheongsam dress anymore! *sob*sob*

Thanks for visiting! Have a lovely day!

CardPatterns Sketch 126: Bebe Boy

This week's sketch on CP just blew me away! Here's my creation based on the sketch. I decided to go really bold and dramatic for a baby boy congrats card.

Using Teresa Collin's Chic Bebe range of papers and matching ribbons. The inner black circle within the paper doiley is from Slice Dilly Dally and the punched border is MS Daisy Punch. Flowers and blings are Prima.
Sketch 126 on CardPatterns.

Close up of the setiment: they are 7Gypsies rub-ons. Butterflies are MS Royal Butterfly Punch.

TCR Palette #69: Boy I Think You're Amazing!

TCR challenges are always challenging! The standards are so HIGH and I often find myself not having the shades that are on the palette (still a newbie, my stash is still very small). When I saw #69 I decided to try it out, quite an unusual color combo I must say. I had to go and get myself some pool blue paints and new papers... taddaaa ... excuse to shop!

BOY... I think you're amazing!
All the embellishments are Basic Grey Hopscotch chip stickers and office tabs. Patterned paper is an old 7Gypsies Canal Venice. Other than that, we have TA Mist in Turquoise and Adirondack Acrylic paint dabber in Pool Blue, some brown felt, some netting, corrugated paper, a button and a BG brad.

I made this felt button flower; free-hand cutting hehe. It looks really unproportionate actually. The big button did a good job hiding it. Scattered the chip stickers on the corrugated sheet. I had to resist very hard not to use flowers here, I didn't want to girlie-fy the layout too much.

I split the office tab so I can use it twice. Foil chipboard alphas from AC.

Here's the other portion of the office tab.

I got so into the color scheme after I'm done I actually went on and made a card. I so happen to pick up an orange paper from Basic Grey's Life of the Party line (Again! I'm so into BG lately!)

Using up some scraps here, plus I was just dying to use this new Penny Black stamp I got from Cherry On Top.

Thanks for dropping in! Have a great week ahead :)

It's AUGUST already??? How the year just flew past huh? Well, it's a great way to start the month as I had such a wonderful surprise when I learned that I won the July multi-photo challenge by Issa Virtucio-Lucido on SIL. It was my first try with SIL and I really loved the idea of the multi-photo criteria. Didn't quite expect to win with my first LO! So blessed! *beaming with a wide grin from here to Sunday*

My submission post is here. Below is a screen grab of the announcement today ... yay! Hehehehee :D

Well, the August challenge by the talented Iris Baboa (she is one of my scrapping idols!) is also really really exciting, I can't wait to get started on it! Go on to SIL and find out what's the August challenge and play along won't you? And do check out the amazing LOs created by the DT. Simply inspiring. They make me just wanna drop everything and scrap scrap scrap!
